Welcome the New Year with our Yoga Nidra and Intention Setting Workshop designed to ground, inspire, and transform. We’ll create space to honor the past year, set meaningful intentions, and nurture inner peace.

Workshop Led by Alissa Mattson

Alissa has been guiding and teaching in an array of professions for over 20 years. She has found that the best leaders know how to connect you to your own inner wisdom and strength. Her teachings are guided through the practices of Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, or any slow somatic practice that allows you to rest your nervous system and turn inward. New Years is one of her favorite times of the whole year! How amazing that all of humanity looks forward with hope and optimism!

What to Expect

The workshop begins with a tea ceremony to cultivate awareness through meditation and breathwork. You’ll craft your sankalpa—a heartfelt intention rooted in purpose—to align with your truths, honor your dharma, and inspire meaningful change.

After a brief introduction to Yoga Nidra, you’ll experience a guided session, entering deep relaxation to reset your nervous system, promote healing, and reconnect with your inner wisdom. The practice concludes with journaling and optional sharing to reflect on your journey and intention.

Tea Ceremony (10 mins)

“Sankalpa” or Intention Setting (20 mins)

You’ll create a "sankalpa", or intention, a new groove, that we’ll plant into our nervous system through the practice.

Practice + Reflection (60 mins)

You'll deeply connect with yourself, and journal from the heart, as you’re guided through an experience to manifest your true aspirations.

What IS Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is a guided practice of "yogic sleep" that deeply relaxes the mind, body, and spirit. It calms the adrenals, lowers cortisol, slows the heart and breathing, reduces blood pressure, and repairs the vagus nerve, bringing the brain into a restful state. Tensions melt away as you experience inner peace, and your sankalpa (intention) gently settles into your relaxed nervous system and subconscious mind.
