Part Time: Contract Instructor
Starting at $32.00/hr. based on experience
We’re looking for passionate instructors who thrive on guiding students through strength-building exercises and fluid, energizing yoga sequences, creating a balance of power and flow. The ideal instructor will be a kind, outgoing, skilled, engaging team member who is committed to guiding classes that are empowering, energizing, and FUN. The instructor will be teaching our high-intensity 30:30 Strength Flow and Sculpt Flow classes with the use of hand weights and mini bands.

Provide high-quality class instruction
Clean and tidy studio space as needed
Check in with students after class
Create a personal connection with each student to build community
Inform students of other classes and events happening at the studio as well as other periodic promotions
Position Requirements
Outgoing personality with a strong desire to provide exceptional client service
Humility and willingness to grow and remain a student

Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class with a genuine interest in student success —whether beginner or seasoned practitioner
Be able to intertwine FORMATION’s Class Methodology into your yoga class: the science behind mindful movement and emphasis on how yoga benefits active lifestyles, enhances performance, aids in recovery, and ultimately makes students better at their chosen activities.
Must be willing to teach 3+ hours/week
At least 200-hour RYT certified
Strength training experience
1+ years teaching experience preferred
Must hold and show proof of current Professional Liability Insurance, or “Yoga liability insurance”
Current CPR Certification is a plus, but not required
Strong verbal skills (proficient in speaking and understanding English)
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to walk through the classroom freely in order to demo postures and transitions, monitor students' movements, provide them with hands-on adjustments (as needed and if desired by students) and to facilitate dynamic, energizing, empowering and fun fitness classes
Able to demonstrate exercises in real time to guide students in their practice
Physically able to lift and carry up to 20 lb. equipment
Adjust and operate studio equipment

The ideal instructor is calming and knowledgeable about restorative body positions, stress relief, and mindful breathing. They will guide students into relaxed poses with the aid of props, without strain or pain, to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation. The instructor will be teaching our low-intensity Candlelit Restore class in a serene, candlelit atmosphere.

They will guide students through each pose with a calm and supportive presence, helping students explore the deeper layers of their practice. Hiring Process

Initial Interview (30-Minute Zoom Call)
In our first conversation, we’ll connect via Zoom for a casual, 30-minute interview. This is an opportunity to learn about you—your experience, teaching philosophy, and how your approach aligns with FORMATION’s mission of elevating active lifestyles through mindful movement. It’s also a great time to ask any questions you have about our studio, community, and values.
Second Interview: Class Demo & In-Person Discussion (1 Hour Total)
For second-round candidates, we’ll invite you to our studio for an in-person discussion and class demonstration. During this hour, you’ll lead us through a brief 20-30 minute class session based on the position you're applying for. Following the demo, we’ll spend about 20-30 minutes chatting, asking any last questions, and giving you time to ask us any additional questions you may have. This is an opportunity for us to get to know you better—and for you to feel confident that FORMATION is the right fit for you!
