What is Restorative Yoga for Runners?

Restorative Yoga for Runners is a practice designed to enhance recovery, improve mobility, and prevent injury by supporting the body's natural healing process. Unlike active yoga styles, restorative yoga involves long-held, fully supported postures that calm the nervous system, reduce inflammation, and release deep muscular tension—especially in the lower body, hips, and spine.

For runners, this practice is essential for counteracting repetitive movement patterns, promoting joint health, flexibility, and circulation, and supporting mental resilience. Science-backed benefits include lowering cortisol levels, improving tissue repair, and enhancing overall mobility—making it the perfect complement to an active running routine.

By incorporating Restorative Yoga, runners can recover faster, move better, and run stronger for longer.

It’s worth it for the views.
